Effective date: 20 April 2026
By using Supermarkit ("the app"), you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. The service
Supermarkit is a personal spending tracker that lets you scan receipts, track prices, set budgets, share household spending, and view spending insights. The app is provided "as is" for personal, non-commercial use.
2. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You may not create accounts for others without their permission.
3. Households
When you create or join a household, your receipt data and shopping lists become visible to other household members. You are responsible for only sharing your household invite code with people you trust. You can leave a household at any time from Settings.
4. Your data
You retain ownership of all data you enter into the app, including receipt data, shopping lists, budgets, and preferences. We store this data to provide the service to you. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling.
5. Accuracy of information
Supermarkit uses AI and optical character recognition to extract data from receipts. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that every item, price, or total will be read correctly. You should verify important information and use the edit feature to correct any errors.
Price comparisons and spending insights are based on the data you provide through scanned receipts. They should be used as a general guide, not as financial advice.
6. Subscriptions
Some features may require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings → Subscriptions.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
- Free trial periods, if offered, will convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app
- Use the app to collect data about other people without their consent
- Interfere with or disrupt the app's infrastructure
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits
8. Intellectual property
The app, including its design, code, monster character, and branding, is owned by Supermarkit. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without our written permission.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Supermarkit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. This includes, but is not limited to, financial decisions made based on information provided by the app.
Supermarkit is a spending tracker, not a financial advisor. We do not provide financial, investment, or tax advice.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the app if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app's Settings page, which will permanently remove your data.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
